Cough Tablets
A cough is a sudden & often repetitively occurring reflex which clears the lung passages from secretions, irritants, foreign particles and microbes. Mostly coughing is caused by a Respiratory Tract Infection, choking, smoking, air pollution, Asthma, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, post-nasal drip, Chronic Bronchitis or Heart affections.
Composition
Belladonna 3x, Bryonia alba 3x, Rumex crispus 3x, Cuprum aceticum 4x, Drosera rotundifolia 3x, Ipecacuanha 3x, Spongia tosta 3x, Squilla 3x, Thymus serpyllum Ø.
Indications
Effective in relieving Continuous/spasmodic/suffocative cough with or without sputum associated with Rhinitis, Tonsillitis, Laryngitis, Pharyngitis, Bronchitis and Bronchial Asthma.
Dosage
2 tabs. every 2-3 hours for adults. 1 tab. every 2-3 hours for children. Take more frequently in acute cases. For chronic cough use for longer periods to build immunity. Or as directed by the physician.

- Belladonna - Tickling, short, dry cough; worse at night. Barking cough, Whooping cough, with pain in stomach before attack, with expectoration of blood. Moaning at every breath.
- Bryonia alba - Dry, hacking cough from irritation in upper trachea. Must sit up, worse after eating or drinking with vomiting with stiches in chest and expectoration of rustcoloured sputa.
- Cuprum aceticum - Violent spasmodic cough. Dyspnoea.
- Drosera rotundifolia - Spasmodic, dry irritative cough, like Whooping-cough.
- Ipecacuanha - Suffocative cough. Bleeding from lungs, with nausea; feeling of constriction; rattling cough.
- Rumex crispus - Tickling in throat-pit causes cough. Dry, teasing cough, preventing sleep.
- Spongia tosta - Cough, dry, barking, croupy; Croup; worse, during inspiration and before midnight.
- Squilla - Violent, furious, exhausting cough, with much mucus; profuse, salty, slimy expectoration and with involuntary spurting of urine and sneezing.
- Thymus serp.- Respiratory infections of children; dry nervous Asthma, Whooping-cough, severe spasms but little sputum.
Advice
In Influenza use B1. Can use Bakson’s Kof Aid syrup also.
